A steroid, Powercort Shampoo is. It is used to treat dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and allergies, among other skin disorders. It soothes the skin, reducing inflammation, redness, and itching while also preventing future aggravation. Powercort Shampoo should only be used on the outside of the body. Use it according to the doctor's instructions for dosage and duration. Thoroughly clean the afflicted areas before applying it thinly and evenly. Airtight coverings, such as bandages, should not be used to cover the region being treated, since this may increase the chance of adverse effects. It is not advised that youngsters take this medication.
